Simplified License Management

In 1.1.2 we have decided to abandon hardware-based license activation in order to make Unserver more friendly and easier to use.

We think that the complexity of the hardware-based licensing solution, as well as the burden for the users are too high.

Summary of Changes in 1.1.2

• Unserver no longer generates a hardware signature file
• Running Unserver without a license key file is now possible in the Community Edition mode

Community Edition

The community license permits running Unserver with the following restrictions:

• There is a time limit of 20 minutes, after which application restart is required
• Can only be used for temporary evaluation, testing and running in non-production environments

Running Unserver without interruptions or in a production environment still requires a valid license key.
